Napy Posted January 18, 2023 Report Share Posted January 18, 2023 E' con dolore che devo dare a tutti i Soci e iscritti al forum, la notizia della scomparsa del nostro Presidente Francesco De Domenico, avvenuta stamane in una clinica ospedaliera di Roma. Nessuno si aspettava questa tragica notizia, che ha colpito come un fulmine a ciel sereno. E' davvero difficile in questo momento trovare parole per descrivere le emozioni che si susseguono irrazionalmente, nel ricordo di un uomo che ha dato tanto alla nostra associazione e al nostro mondo così di nicchia, una persona con personalità fortissima e una voglia interminabile di portare avanti progetti che a molti parevano irrealizzabili, che ha guidato l’Aidmen con polso sicuro e che tanto ci ha insegnato. I had recently written emails to Francesco without getting any answer and I suspected that his health was not very good. His knowledge of naval matters was second to none and he will be sorely missed by the naval historical community. Viviane and I send our sincere condolences to Giuliana and their son.
