Platon Alexiades
I am looking for photographs of the following Italian merchant ships preferably around 1941: 1. Achille (2416 GRT, 1891)2. Sirio (5222 GRT, 1921)3. Proserpina (ex French Beauce, 4869 GRT, 1926). These ships were the object of sabotage attempts by the Mounier Resistance Network in Tunisia in June-July 1941.There has been also mention that a fourth ship Hermes (tonnage?) was also sabotaged but I think it is an error. I am also interested to know if the claim that this network was responsible with the Tarigo convoy disaster has some truth,Anyone having information on these actions is welcome to exchange views. Grazie mille, Platon Alexiades
