La didascalia dice: "The destroyers to the left are, from left to right: - Maestrale - Grecale - Scirocco - Two destroyers that are harder to make out due to their hull letters being hidden, however most photos indicate that Libeccio is one of the two ships. - Antonio Da Noli - Ugolino Vivaldi - Luca Tarigo - Nicolò Zeno - Giovanni Da Verrazzano Finally you have the two tall ships at the right. These are the Italian training ships Cristoforo Colombo (left) and Amerigo Vespucci (right). Further in the background are five heavy cruisers. The two Trento class cruisers are to the left, two Zara class cruisers to the right, and Bolzano in the middle." Leggo poi nei commenti Roby Adolfo Bellotti: "le 2 navi nascoste dal rimorchiatore sono il Libeccio ( LI ) e L' Antoniotto Usodimare ( US ) e la prua in primo piano è quella del Transatlantico REX ....alla banchina esterna da sx : Trieste,Bolzano,Trento e due incrociatori leggeri probabilmente Attendolo e Montecuccoli...Napoli 5 maggio 1938. p.s. il Colombo è a destra al margine della foto,a sinistra il Vespucci..." Francesco Mattesini Posted November 17, 2025 Report Share Posted November 17, 2025 (edited) I due velieri all'estrema destra della fotografia sono le fascistissime navi scuola Amerigo Vespucci e Guglielmo Marconio, entrate in servizio alla fine degli anni '20. La Marconi fu consegnata all'Unione Sovietica in seguito al trattato di Pace di Parigi del 1947, e dai sovietici, chiamata Dunaj e poi distrutta non sapendo che farne. La Vespucci é dal dopo guerra la glorificata nave scuola della Marina Repubblicana. A me piace sempre mettere la virgola dove ci stà, e non sono fascista. Secondo quanto mi disse il nostro defunto amico livornese Franco Bargoni la Colombo era più bella della Vespucci.
