Commissionato nel 1936 come BATIRAY per conto della Marina Turca al Germaniawerft di Kiel, non consegnato alla committente e incorporato nella Kriegsmarine nel 1939. In effetti vi è una certa somiglianza di linee; anche questa costruzione è tedesca, ma del dopo guerra. Analogo anche il sistema di propulsione dotato di doppia motorizzazione termico/elettrica. La differenza sostanziale con il precedente è che quest'ultima costruzione è a doppio scafo per poter raggiungere la profondità operativa di 300 m. Mi sbilancio un po' troppo, ma aggiungo che fu ordinato espressamente da un committente italiano per una particolare e insolita tipologia di lavoro subacqueo. Nel frattempo per chi non fosse Rössler dotato, fornisco un'altra indicazione che potrebbe facilitare la soluzione. La committente era la cagliaritana SELMAR S.r.l. Attenzione richiedo il nome proprio del battello e non la sua sigla identificativa, peraltro parzialmente visibile nella parte superiore della torretta.
